Converted...

I have been blogging for over 2 years now. During my blogging career, I have used LiveJournal. However, LiveJournal is not user friendly. So for the sake of preventing gray hairs and more regular updates, I will now be using this blogspot.

This weekend was a lot of fun. Friday during the school day, I had a meeting to decide my job situatoin for next year. The assistant superintendent and I decided it was in everyone's best interest if I resigned from my position as of May 25 of this year and look for a mathematics job next year. I have to get my master's degree to keep the job I am currently in. This year was only an emergency situation because no one else applied for the job. Basically, it was me or nobody for this year; so they hired me. Friday night was Walkfest for camp in Parrish, Alabama. We had only been there for about 3 minutes when I saw Clay frantically approaching us. I knew right then that we were about to be recruited for something. Little did I know we were going to be recruited for the 20 foot tall inflatable slide. Then I was nominated to carry little kids up and down the ladder. The "ladder" is simply a skinny version of the huge slide but with bars every 9 inches and ropes on the side to hang on to and help you actually get to the top. I carried the little kids up so they wouldn't fall. However, the best moment came when the kid successfully made it to the top ALONE but was too scared to go down the slide part. So I was the only option for his escape without actually having to slide down (I was sitting at the top to keep kids from doing flips and breaking their necks!). So me and this kid, a third my size, SIT down on the LADDER and booty scoot down the slide like little babies scoot down stairs. One word: OUCH! I think Mary actually got a picture of it. Maybe she'll let me see it sometime. However, I must admit when I first went down the slide, I screamed like a little girl. I don't know how ANYONE would have the guts to flip down it. Oh, I also got to see Allie.

On to Saturday. Saturday I slept till 1:30. Yes, 1:30 in the afternoon. I was exhausted and it was my off day and Daniel didn't mind, so I slept. *grin* My great grandmother is not doing well at all. Side note: Her name is Irene Boothe and if you have a spare moment today, Please say a prayer for her and my family. She has multiple blood clots in her left leg and there is nothing the doctors can do due to other health complications. Therefore, this is a terribly hard time for my family and especially for her. She is scared to fall asleep because she is scared she won't wake up. It's truly heartbreaking. Okay, back to Saturday. Saturday night we went to eat with my family and my uncle from Hawaii was in town to visit with Mama Rene since she's not doing well. So we have much needed time with BOTH of my uncles. (THIS IS RARE. One of them has lived in Hawaii for almost 5 years now. We can't just meet for dinner very often.) Back on track, Saturday I started this terribly cute scrapbook cut out in the shape of the word love. So that has been my mission this week. Saturday night when we got home I was working on my scrapbook and I started feeling TERRIBLE. My head hurt so bad and my body ached almost worst than ever. I thought "Oh no, I've got the flu and I had to have given it to my Grandmother". It was a false alarm it was only a small bug.

Sunday. Sunday only consisted of Tylenol PM, sleep, television, sleep, headaches, fevers, and so on.

Monday I was feeling well enough to actually stand up without Daniel's help. Therefore, I toughened up and went to work (to save the sick days for later uses like pregnancy leave in years to come, yay for sick days). I have been tutoring after school for the past two weeks and this week is the final week. So I not only had a full day of work Monday, but I also had to tutor 8 second graders for an hour after school *sigh*

Tuesday. Tuesdays are my rough day. I go to TWO schools. I have fifteen minutes to travel 10 miles and eat lunch. Layman's terms: That isn't POSSIBLE. Therefore, I feel rushed the entire day and am abnormally tired Tuesday afternoon. A typical Tuesday mixed with my recent illness equals an afternoon on the couch. And that's exactly what I did today. Hence the long journal post!
